train ride never stops

I don't know what the mission is called, but i am at the point where we have the entire train running with all the cars and are traveling to some place far away. There is nothing to do and i have been in this train ride for about 30 minutes and it never stops and continues another mission. I have googled it and supposedly u have to look at the map in the engine car and when u do a prompt asks u if u want to continue the ride or start the next mission. But when i look at the map the only button that works is the one that focus' you on the map which the default is E but i have it bound to A. So i hit A and i am then focused on the map till i hit A again, but no other buttons do anything and no prompt comes up to allow me to continue to the next mission. Anyone know how i can get out of this endless train ride that i am sure will never end ?
