picking up items

is there anyway to change from this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ long holding button to pick up ♥♥♥♥ to a normal tapping a key to pick up? my god what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiotic design

Afaik there is only a setting for QTE style events, not weapon changes.

Want to enter a vent that you could just crouch into in Metro 2033? Hold X. Want to open a locker? Hold X. Want to swap ammo types? Hold R1, scroll to the weapon, and hold X while you are being shot at.

I get that the devs were trying to avoid accidental inputs, but this is ridiculous.

exaxctly that. ♥♥♥♥ is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible and annoying. it throws you off when youre in the middle of the fight. i dont need to stand still like an idiot and hold E to pick up a mag from a guy i killed. like at the beginning of the game beside the train. fight is going on and im holding E like an idiot to check every possible locker.. so you hold E for 2 seconds to open a locker, then hold E for two seconds to pick something up. my god i hate these devs

and they did such a good job with the LOD on this game only to skip out on ergonomics among other things

ive only played 5 hours or so and admittedly, its a big improvement over previous 2 games. but a LOT of janky-ness stuck with them and its very annoying. not to mention trash tier console port but thats all their games

Metro Exodus & Deep Silver have done an outstanding job on this game. I've had no bugs and one minor crash at the Lighthouse. Outside of that all my problems were created by my own failures. Learning how to adopt a strategy and pursue this adventure with a learning attitude is key to your success. I purchased this title because I like Deep Silver stuff.

yeah the game is jank as ♥♥♥♥. really disappointed. its such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bug fest, such a trash port, and so many janky ass designs its unbelievable
