Lighting bug...

so i provided screenshot in the link above.. lighter doesnt work and literally game is so dark that nothing is visible im sure its a bug dunno guys...
Rx580 8 gb is my gpu 24gb of 1333ram and i72600k is cpu dunno what caused this error but i tried reinstalling drivers and stuff nothing seems to work

what are you playing on dx11 or dx12?
Are you sure you don't have the darkness set too dark?
What OS are you using.
Not using outdated drivers?
I may be able to help.

i tried both dx11 and dx12. no darkness isnt set to too dark i tried every single gamma level , im windows 10 newest update it had, no im not using outdated rivers ... i freshinstalled every single of them yesterday. ask anything you need to know ill be happy if you can somehow help me.

Phillips 24IE but dunno never had a same problem with any of the newer or older games like that... also the same problem was on last gpu aswell dunno whats wrong ngl... hdd,gpu are actually new ... cpu and motherboard are the only untouched stuff left ...but like how a missing flame has to do smth with a screen? literally flame is nonexisting its some kind of a corrupted file im sure which steam cant detect but like i even swapped hdd out 2 days ago and after reinstalling and itegrity checking this game problem is still the same

yes but like last gpu had the same problem and new one which came from a literally factory and never was used before? and also i play a lot of games like r6s,cs,for honor and borderlands and never had a same problem

yes i understand but people with worse gear than yours and even mine can run this game anyway and doesnt get a same problem bruh... i submitted ticked and posted on redditt lets see what happens ://

quick update : they told me to restart a campaign :) and told me that my gpu isnt a problem.... guess what? IT IS STILL BUGED :/// amazing

Is this in the very beginning of the game? If so - try and restart the game to see if this will help. I, and others, had the issue with flashlight, not lighter, breaking at the Taiga level, after passing the darkness anomaly, and it carried over to the next game level. Last time I've checked the only "fix" was to turn off your light before entering the anomaly and not try to turn it on while in it. Unfortunately I've had to play the rest of the game with gamma bumped to the maximum in order to be able to see things around. It didn't happened on my second playthrough of the game.

Have you solved this problem? When I first bought the game, it was printed out normally, and at some point, I am having the same problem as you. Googling and tech support could not resolve it.

nope i couldn't fix it and dev team / steam gives no ♥♥♥♥ about it sadly

So it is 2021, two years after release, and the "Enhanced Edition" just came out. Too bad no dev worried about fixing the light bug. Right, this doesn't generate any cash at all.
Well, I'm still unable to finish the game the way it's meant to be, because I refuse to temper with gamma settings just to avoid a bug lazy devs won't fix.

You mean the bug when your lamp/NV does not work on the last level, in the winter city? As a "workaround" - the light/NV stops working after experiencing "darkness" anomaly on the dam, in the Taiga level, and the only way to fix it is to reload prior to going through the dam and replay that section of the game and check if the light works afterwards. If not - rinse and repeat. Obviously won't work on higher difficulty, when you only have auto saves. The only solution is to restart the level. At least that what I've did in the original version of the game.

i mean i cant even get past a start point and i cant even play old saves because its literally too dark and also its probably my copy of a game that is bugged cause same thing happened on a different pc with a far more superior specs as well. i dunno man i really don't know . i had my game bought and had to play a cracked version cause steam one didnt work

It's not you, it's not your machine, it's the game. It has horrible bugs related to gamma point and the developers refuse to even respond .
