Basically all that happens in Last Light is that a huge war breaks out between the Nazi's and the Commies, Artyom finds out there is a few Dark Ones that are still alive, Artyom and the rangers find a underground facility that is a secret bunker that was unused and unoccupied, they get attacked in the facility and lots of the rangers die, and Artyom falls in love with a girl named Anna.
Here is a wiki link to a summary of Metro 2035, http://metrovideogame.wikia.com/wiki/Metro_2035
You should probably read it sometime before Exodus comes out, it will fill you in on some of Last Light and the story between Last Light and Exodus.
That was the bad ending, in the good ending he lives, and the author of the book has him as being alive in Metro 2035. Remember that the author of Metro doesn't write his book from the games, so Metro 2035 is the real lore, and Artyom is alive and possibly so are the dark ones.
i wonder where i need to redo things to get the good ending tho hmm
Also helps if you spare two characters in the end game
Actually it doesn't matter how many people or mutants you kill, if they're enemies you can kill them without hurting your karma. You just have to save every human or mutant that you have a chance of saving.
