Laggy Graphics Fix? Sam's Story
this is what im playing on:

windows 10 64 bit
intel core i7 4gh 8 cpus
16gb ram
dx12
geforce gt 960
intel(r) hd graphics 530

i had to set the game to lowest video settings but im still getting graphics lag - im just starting and on the scene where you look toward the river.....no spoilers but it also happens shortly after you leave the tall building lots of lag.

any advice on how to fix this (besides changing pcs)?

EDIT: got it working mostly....now there is only lag when i point sam in one certain direction. if hes pointed away from that one direction no lag weird.

EDIT2: asked for a refund, game is impossible to play because of the weird directional lag and nothing helps :( bummer

sorry man, but a 960 is ancient. this game pushes the living hell out of my 2080 ti with ray tracing on High, so it's time to upgrade. new GPU's are coming out in fall so just get a used 2070 or something. it'll be a huge improvement.

but yea, like macatak said, make sure you're using the 960. other than everything on low, i don't think there's much else to do. won't be some magic fix with the hardware you have unfortunately.

have you configured the game to run on your geforce gt 960 and not your intel(r) hd graphics 530 in the Nvidia Control Panel ?

yeah i shut off the 530 and set the graphics to low, but its still laggy. i bought the machine from my niece but yeah def will upgrade the graphics card and put in an ssd. its from 2015 :) a dinosaur EDIT: its an alienware x51 r3 also, playing the base game doesnt produce these same issues.

I remember going from a 660Ti to a 960 and was sooo disappointed that I ditched the 960.
