Iron Mode only saves between levels. Meaning you need to complete all of Caspian in one go, without dying, then move on to the Taiga level to save (or one of the train missions), for an example.
The weirdest about this is that for the moskow level, auto saves had no problem. But since the Winter or the very beginning of Volga, no more auto saves...
You mean create a new game on Ranger HC ? I'll try that and redo Moscow, but I guess it'll end up the same way and I'll lose several hours of playing.
