so when i played last light, artyom sacrificed himself.

so my confusion when i started playing metro exodus was big. im playing on xbox one since i got a copy free.

but now i saw that there were two endings and in one ending he lives. so then i understand haha.
was this ending inserted with the remake or was it already there?

it's the canon ending

Each game in the series had good/bad endings since the first game. In 2033 canon is the bad ending and in LL canon is the good one.

Let's not forget that Stepan seems to be a common name in general. By your logic anyone named John should not exist today because some guy named John already died hundreds of years ago lol.

Both previous games had alternate endings and the requirements to get those endings were RIDICULOUS, at least in the first game.

You had to give bullets to the poor, twang guitar strings in your room and a whole bunch of other things you'd never think would influence anything like that.
