Is it true you have to hit the "E" key alot?

Like to go under something or to engage a cutscene or do boss fight, or go under a log?

This is what I saw in review video.

They liked the game but hated this part.

But it appears over and over in the middle of your screen. It is almost like this was done on a console game first, and ported over to the PC.

Where else would a button prompt show up? And it only appears when your looking at something you can interact with.

there is an option for QTE in the setting , no need smashing E, just hold E button.

YOu can change from "press once", "tap repeatedly" or "press and hold" if I'm not mistaken. Also, yes, it was made first for consoles and then ported to PC. Its not the worst port, but also not the best. I believe they did this because its easier to port from console to PC than the other way around...

From what I've seen, console players aren't faring much better. They might have a little less crahes and freezes because consoles are more stable systems (one version is equal for all Xbox for instance because the hardware and software is the same, as for PC there are lots of different hardware and softwares). But in terms of bugs, its the same thing.

Yea I would like to play this game but not getting to play long with the games bad optimization causing the game to turn into a slide show after and hour or so.

Actually it's not a console port, all three Metro games were made with PC in mind, in association with Nvidia.

When I saw a video of the player shooting a mob ...wide open no way to miss......and the game would not let the mob take damage as you were attacking it from a spot it did not want you to use....I abandoned all interest in the port.

Or Press.

There are three options:

Tap (Smash the crap out of your button)
Hold (Hold it till its done)
Press (Press is once and get it over with)
