SDR Mode black level completely wrong & HDMI stretched aspect ratio
i thought i'd add that i gave HDR mode a try today in Exodus. didn't realize that the game supports it through windows's native HDR toggle. low and behold, the game running in Windows HDR mode does produce the correct black level. But that's counting on that if if your monitor's HDR mode is calibrated correctly.

my SDR mode is calibrated to Rec709, and HDR is calibrated as close to Rec2020 as possible based on a scale of 1000 nit, and can confirm that when you toggle windows 10's HDR mode, and fire up the game, and enable HDR switch in game, without touching the in game gamma setting, it does produce the correct black level without any grey haze.

but running the game in SDR mode does indeed have that dreaded grey layer of haze. so my guess is the developer only used one color space and poorly/incorrectly map the color space for SDR. hence the SDR black level is completely off the chart WRONG.

just don't touch the Gamma setting, HDR or SDR, it'll just make matters worse. unlike what the gamma slider is supposed to do, the Exodus Gamma slider actually crushes everything as oppose to shifting the gamma curve.

Also, HDMI connection produces a slightly stretched image in full-screen mode 16:9 3840x2160P. based on user feedback. only way to get around it is either manually turn full-screen mode off in user cfg, or change to Display Port or DVI-D. Otherwise by default HDMI 16:9 2160P vertically stretches the image by about 80 or so pixels. so scope is not perfectly rouded, and everything is stretched.
