Is there a way to free the slaves in Caspian desert?

Hey y'all, I have come across 2 ships so far full of bad guys and slaves, am I meant to free the slaves? or do they leave on their own after I kill all the bad guys?

The first ship the slaves were free to roam around and was wide open, the second one has cages in the cargo hold and I can't find a way to open the ship or get down there.

You need to find the lever to open the cages.

And that lever would be?? lol no wait don't tell me, I'll find it.

I found the lights and all that crap.....if there IS a lever I will find it.

I found one lever that opens like 3 cages, but only one dude ins in there and he just sits there doing nothing.

I'll keep looking...

Rest assured if you see someone in a cage in this game...there's a way to free them.

For the ship closer to the light house you just need to kill all the guards to "free" them, but they don't leave. But for the larger one nearer to the Baron's tower, there's a lever on the platform where the blue light is, it's about in the middle of the platform.

Damn I found it!! I looked all over for that lever and went through that ship like 20 times. FINALLY...freedom.

I killed a bunch a dudes up by that blue light, there are guns all over that area. Those popups must have distracted me.
