Metro Exodus

Metro Exodus

FIX for Gamepad/Controller support Epic launcher
I bought Metro Exodus on the Epic launcher and after one playthrough I wanted to play again with my PS4 controller but the options for "controller" in the menu was grayed out, here is how I fixed that: Open steam > add a non-steam game > look for Your Metro exodus folder and add MetroExodus.exe. Now run it from steam, you don't even need Epic launcher open for this to work. it'll now allow you to use your controller Plus you'll be able to Alt-Tab out of the game, and have steam overlay. (Note: This will move where your game save files are, so make sure to move your old saves and user config to where steam saves the new files). Hope this helps anyone who got this on Epic store and wants to use a controller :D

I always run my games I want to use controllers with because steam has..features!
Still doesn't allow inverted Y axis.
Thank you ,
this is a full tutorial for people who didn't get it

Using steam's controller support for epic games is pretty ironic.

Only if you make up your own definition of irony.
This doesn't work at all. Tried this and was able to add Metro to Steam from Epic, just as the OP stated, but the controller is still grayed out and cannot be used. I haven't even started the game because I don't want to play this with keyboard and mouse. Thanks for trying, though.
Always thought the game has native support for controllers, have you tried running it not through steam?

I also had to enable "Steam Imput" inside "controller" at the settings menu of the library page for the game "Manage/Properties". It worked with Metro 2033 Redux
always, always emulate controllers
never let windows use its own drivers ever.
