Islet stash after hostage

So in volga there is a hostage that if you act quick you can save. Hes near the train in a small encampment in a cage. When you save him he goes on about u being a heratic but still tells you there is a secret under the islet your on. Does anyone know what hes talking about or how to get the stash.

I was wondering the same thing...Maybe he actually meant it a different way and the wording just made it sound like it was right near there...it could be that island you need a rowboat to get to that has the Generator you have to put gas in...I've yet to add gas to it, so no idea what's behind the locked door.

The one with gas is an upgrade.

well i thought he said underground. also yea i have yet to find the gas. i find 2 empty cans but im scouring the map for a can that actually has gas

It's literally around the back of that shed tge generator is in if I remember right.

It is an upgrade. You will find out. Something to do with electricity.

Electricity means the upgrade where you use the gas to power the generator.

The guy isn't on an islet; he's on the main landmass of the level. He's talking about the generator, which is on an islet.

The upgrade you get is about electricity. A dude tells you about the islet mentioning the generator is out of gas.

Yes, I was just there on the islet. When you talk to the prisoner after getting rid of all the bandits a mark will appear on your map. Solve the puzzles for the hut and you get behind the red door and pick up what looks like a battery pack.
