Glance down at what light meter?

I seem to be missing something obvious. The game says "Don't forget to glance down at your light meter".

I have no clue WTF it's talking about. What light meter? How do I look at it? When I do find it, WTF does it mean??

It's a blue light on your watch. On = very visible, Off = hidden

On your watch is an LED that is either dark or glowing bright blue. That's your light meter. It only measures "Someone can see you by immediately looking at you, because you're well lit" or "You're hidden because it's dark"

Its on your wrist. I can't remember if you have it at the beginning of the game or get it later.

Blue light? On the Xbox One X it's bright white, but well probably just another effect of the gamma black crush there.
