Bugged workbench

I'm at the desert level, and now I can't use workbench - it shows no prompt button and holding E does nothing. Reloading doesn't help.
Have anyone experienced this? Is there any solution/workaround?

I am assuming you are at point where your team takes the train station as their HQ. When you team makes the train station their HQ for the first time, you are allowed to use the workbench in the station only once then it won't be useable anymore but later in the story you can use it again if I remember correctly. Could be a bug or could be working as intented. Please do correct me if I am wrong on this tho.

I have the same issue,with no solution that I can find. I suddenly could not use workbenches in Volga. No interaction option. First noticed it when I brought the railcar back to the Aurora and Tokarev says he has a mod or gun for me and to use the workbench on the Aurora. Tried everything including exiting the game and reloading etc, no difference. Verified files with no issue. Went to multiple other locations with a workbench and same thing. Tried multiple back up saves (my pc saves versions of files every 15 mins so have previous versions of auto save and quicksave), no luck.
There appears to be no fix at this point apart from restarting the whole chapter, the thought of which makes me feel physically ill.... have googled and found others with the same issue. Have raised bug report 2 days ago, no response. Does anyone have a solution please?

Yes, this is exactly what happened to me.
So I managed to get past is somehow. I was running in and out of a spot with a workbench and eventually interaction prompt appeared!

I am having the same issue in the desert area. I have been unable to use any workbench in the entire area. I was able to use the workbench in HQ after first setting up camp but since then nothing. It's getting pretty frustrating!

I know the issue isn't a thing anymore but I just had this problem and found the solution. Park the van close to the Aurora and then get in turn lights on, bring up map, put down map, flashlights off, then get out and the bench starts working again. U prob dont need to do the lights or map but i did and it fixed it for me so.

Old Thread I know, but i'm having this problem currently and this worked for me. So, there yah go. Thanks and good luck!
