Stuttering fixed
When i launched the game, i had stuttering like every 5-10 sec, worst ones when entrering new rooms/locations. Tried lowering graphics and going to directx 11 instead of 12, clearing standbymemory, but nothing helped.

Looked up for some fix and this one worked like a charm:

In nvidia control panel chose Metro or add game there manually, than:
Maximum prerender frame - 1
Shadercache - OFF
Threaded optimization - ON
Texture Filtering - Max Performance

Then you go to
C/username/game saves/metro exodus and find config file there, find a line
"r_enum_ssaa 10" and changed it to "r_enum_ssaa 1"

Hope it will help you like it helped me, good luck.

Maximum prerendered frames 1 is something all the Metro games have preferred, though filtering is rarely an issue at any setting.

Shadercache off sounds crazy unless maybe you have windows on an HDD instead of an SSD. Though I haven't tested any difference.

Do you have benchmark results?

The benchmark is not a good indication of how the game will actually perform.

UWP version here: I did a clean install (haven't done that in ages) of the Radeon 7 drivers that just came out, and the stuttering is gone, not a sign of it! 1440p ultra settings, tesselation. Maybe I'll turn on physx next lol.

If you're asking me, windows store version, and doing a clean install of my videocard drivers (Radeon 7 + Ryzen 1800X)

--> Hello Claymore! I 've tried your solution. Unfortunately it does not work on my system. Can you tell me what settings you have otherwise made in the Nvidia Controle Panel? Maybe I have to adjust something else?

I use a Geforce 1070 with the actual driver.

btw: The MetroExodus.exe resets the r_enum_ssaa setting at every start.
