Question for start of Taiga *spoilers*
So you find the bandit tied up with the wolf going at him. I notice if you free him there is a flash of light with a strange sound. And if you kill him there is a sound. I assume each of these is a morality issue or faction status type thing. Seems obvious that killing him is an evil act, I've heard the same sound if you kill a civilian or slave. But what does the flash of light and foresty sound mean if you free him? I'm stuck in indecision here.
I mean, I thought the children of the forest saved my life. And then this guy sounds like he wants to kill them. So if I help him do the children of the forest not like me? But then the next group I meet that seems like the children of the forest by their appearance are actually labelled pirates. And they aggro on contact.

The flash of light is a good moral point.

The game and the previous ones are based on a moral system and this decides, what ending you will get. :brownchicken:

After he is freed, he starts talking about how he was doing a recon for his gang and how they'll teach these Indians a lesson. And the signs that the hanged bandits in the huts have on their chests say "Marauder" and "Rapist", so even before freeing the person who was sentenced to death for a reason, I wasn't sure if freeing him is a greater good than just leaving him for a longer to reconsider his choices and get out with a lower morale.
