Freaking giant whale monster has me stuck on island, help!

Words cannot express how much I DESPISE this poorly designed monster. I rowed to a ? location, a half sunken house in the middle of the water. Upon exiting the house I noticed the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ whale spawned on me and is just waiting swimming around by the boat.

So far Ive tried to get off the island 14 times, every time the whale monster insta-kills me shortly after getting on the boat. Both my quicksave and checkpoint save are on the island so I cant reload an earlier save.

How the hell am I supposed to deal with this, is my game just broken by the asinine giant fish mechanic? Ive tried shooting it, but Im pretty sure its invulnerable.

Also, maybe try using cheat engine for invuln.

I'm not sure if that actually works or if it was a coincidence, but I saw a video of someone to whom it happened (exact same island). He pointed his flashlight towards the Tsar-fish and surprisingly it swam away on the other side of the house. The guy then had time to take to boat to the nearest shore. Maybe it's worth trying to blind it with your light ? Or throwing a molotov if you have one left.
