Is it possible to kill blind ones?

I'm playing on normal and very well equipped. I just want to know if it's possible to kill one of the blind ones and if so how much bullets I would need.

Yes. Don’t know about how many bullets cos I’ve unloaded all my molotovs on them and fired off a few rounds to finish them off

10 SHOTS or so from a full damage shot gun and a moltov and it should go down ...this was on HCmode

Playing on hardcore, it took probably 10-15 shotgun shells (not right up in their face mind you) along with 1-2 molotovs. A fully charged Railgun can also help put a dent in them, but shotgun + molotovs is the way to go.

Get the railgun from Miller, also pipe bombs will kill them as well. If it’s solo rail gun. Two of them, pipe bombs.

I just snuck through the entire Institute pretty easily just a minute ago. You can use your flashlight, and just stay crouched and keep moving. But yes. You can kill them. It's just WAY easier to sneak, I imagine.

Massive apologies for the necro, but I just finished this bit for the first time and can say with certainty that on normal difficulty, two explosive bolts to the face from a fully upgraded crossbow will drop them no problem.

I was unable to sneak successfully in the final bit where there are two blind ones, but was able to avoid having to kill them by distracting them by throwing molotovs (They move to investigate the explosion and get mesmerised by the flames...)

Don't bother. It's a waste of ammo and air filters. It will keep coming back in every new room you explorer.
