Keep Hard crashing at lighthouse

So the game ran pretty much glitch free till i got to the Caspian sea and hit the lighthouse. I have tried going back thru my save logs to the last save possible and everytime the damn game freezes in the same area.

Same here. Trash game what do you expect. Switched to DX 11 and it runned well for 30 min, then crashed again.

Same, ran problem free til the lighthouse and can't advance any further in the game. Weird that they haven't noticed/fixed this in over a year. I mean obviously it doesn't happen to everyone but many.

I have had multiple crashes in Caspian sea, very annoying. I thought this game was bug free.

Exactly the same issue I am experiencing. Game ran smoothly, entered the Caspian sea and still ran smoothly but then got to the lighthouse and it got FUBAR.

Yup I encountered the same issue. Unable to progress the game at all. Tried all sorts of workarounds that people have claimed to work, including doing triple backflips and sacrificing a lamb to the gods. But the problem persists.

Just rate the game as Not Recommended on Steam until they roll out a proper fix.

Same here - Caspian sea lighthouse, emerging from the tunnel. Freezes and I have to reboot - can't get task manager to end it. I've enjoyed it so far, and it's run well, but I'm stuck now - I've reloaded it 6 or 7 times and the same thing happened every time, slightly different spot, but same area.

Exact same issue here. I've tried every suggestion I could find to troubleshoot this (switching direct X, run as admin, changing graphic settings, etc.) except re-installing the game. No game should be so bugged that you have to re-install it... hope it gets patched soon

Same issue. Btw if you wanna close the game just open task manager. Alt tab so it's in focus and press Down Arrow and then DEL. I was able to walk through few times normally and the other times it just crashes no matter what. Looking down at the ground has helped me get past the glitched area.

There are a number of threads on this exact spot topic. Freezing or crashing out of the cave to the Lighthouse.

Turning off cloud sync on steam and starting in Safe Mode, while running up the side of the boat and looking down has worked for me twice now. Once on Hard and again on Ranger Hardcore.

It does not work every time and this run it took me about 4 tries, but eventually it did work again for me.

The sad thing is on Ranger Hardcore you cannot make a manual save so you are at the mercy of the game for saves.

I suggest exiting and backing up your Metro save folder just incase you have to revert to that to try again. I did not need to, but it is wise.

I was really enjoying the game, but with the bug at a light house cave. I followed all the problem solving nothing is working. It got so bad it crashed, brought up a crash report which i could not click on lol. Then after force restarting my computer (because that was all i could do) it uninstalled itself. Which is a first for me having a game do that.

Same here. Crash after crash. From the light house, to the sniper nest, to the bandit ship camp.

Try to run the game as Windows 8 compatibility mode. That should fix hard crashing. At least for me it stopped my game hard crashing.
