Minimum is a GTX 1050 with 2GB Vram. THis game is very graphic intensive thats why it ask for good GPUs. If you look at the CPU requirements, the minimum is a 4th gen processor from 2013. On High settings they ask for a GTX 1070 with 8GB Vram. Not sure where you got the 1060 idea.

No you cannot run the game with a 1060.

PC specs seem fine to me. I am suprised by all the people complaining on here about the spec requirements. The listed specs are just ball park recommendations not an absolute. That goes for any game that lists system requirements. I have 16GB of RAM, i5 6600 and a RX 480. I fully expect to run this game perfectly fine.

People with Nvidia cards are worried and you're cool with a 480? Lol.

I have yet to run into a game that my RX 480 cant handle at 1080p. Its a matter of adjusting graphics settings as needed. I am not looking to run max settings for everything. If i was i would have upgraded a long time ago. I am going to aim for a mix of medium and high. All about managing your expectations with the capabilities of your system.

Right! Cheers. I prefer to crank everything to the max for any game. I just can't stand God awful graphics. :cozybethesda:

Certainly nothing wrong with putting your hardware to the test and enjoying some juicy graphics. I just wish alot of people on this forum did not have such wild misconceptions on what it is going to take too run this game well. Modern games even on low settings nowadays still look really good compared to games from a few years ago.

This metro looks to be demanding but if it runs well on a high end card without stuttering or other performance issues i guess its ok.
and for the min requirements a mid end gpu from 2011 is also fine.

The only thing i am just a bit worried about is how the game will perform on my CPU. I have an i5 6600 non k CPU. On Far cry 5 is pretty much maxed the thing out and on battlefield 1 multiplayer i suffered from stuttering with it. I hope she will be up to the task too run Metro well.

Whenever I see such high system requirements in a game I get the suspicion that developers just got lazy because new, stronger PC hardware comes out pretty regularly and why bother optimizing at all. How did they manage to run the game on a console then if they are asking for top notch, new PC hardware (GTX 1070) to run it ONLY 60 fps, 1080p for the PC port?
I was going to purchase the game right away but for now I will just wait and see.

Everyone should take system requirements with a grain of salt. In this day and age system requirements have proven to be anything but accurate. Bottom tier hardware has been able to run games well below the recommended where as in other cases having the recommended might only be enough to get barely playable performance. All comes down to optimization. This is 2019 however and i am willing to wager that there is alot of high detail graphical settings available in Metro Exodus that exist purely for the purpose of future proofing the game. Tweak the settings and the game will likely run great but the more intensive settings will still be there years down the road. Just like with Crysis 3 and GTA 5.

Lol...because turning shadows down from ULTRA to HIGH to gain 20 fps makes games look SOOO BAAAAAD. Please...

I agree with this statement. Shadows is probably the biggest killer for my GPU. Turning it down by even one level returns a massive chunk of performance for me. Not to mention that the difference between ultra and high shadows is almost imperceptible unless your looking for very minute details. Likewise this goes for almost all graphical features. Dropping settings from Ultra to high can return upwards of 50% of performance yet have a negligble impact on the graphical fidelity of the game.

If these specs are true, you'll be running the game on low settings just to reach 60 fps. Thats perfectly fine?
