Koala Spies
I think the Koala Spy mission should be easier to start.

I did the initial spy mission with the police chief, but then after that I could never find any spies, despite even looking at guides to see if the groups I was seeing had one.

However, then one guide mentioned you needing to talk to Ranger Ken to start the Spy mission across the area.

Now I could be wrong, because I'm near the end of the game and don't remember if the Chief mentioned it, but I don't remember anyone telling you to talk to Ranger Ken to start the Spy mission.

If they did, then this post is pointless, but if not, then I think they should make it a bit more obvious that you need to talk to him, as the Spy mission should be done throughout the game, not mostly through backtracking.

I don't think you have to talk to Ranger Ken at all. You talk to the police chief and take out the spy near Dennis' house. You report back and then they mention there could be spies all over Southern Rivers.

Once you get that, you find one or two more in the town and the rest are spread out across the entire map, outside of story missions like the Oil Rig assault and such.

You do need to talk to Ken after you eliminate the first Spy and report back to Bluey (The Police Chief). Once you talk to Ken, a flag triggers in the code to allow you to find the rest of the Spy Frills.

I initially had trouble with this too, but Linds helped me out. I agree that it's currently vague, as I had no idea that I needed to talk to Ken (nor could I remember that I needed to).

Ken will say that he has Burramudgee covered, but this is a little misleading, as there's two more spies in town.

They should do it where you are told to go to Ken because this is easily missed and is annoying

I went essentially the whole game without the spy mission active, thinking it was and I was just missing them.

Either the Chief should tell you to go talk to Ranger Ken after you do the Chief's mission, or they should just drop the Ranger Ken part of it and have the Chief give Ranger Ken's lines of "thanks but there's more to be found" but drop the part about there not being any left in town, which is a complete lie.

Or just add a star so you know you need to talk to Ranger Ken

Actually - Ranger Ken does already have one (grey star). Bluey, for the initial Frill, doesn't at all. Have added that now (and the star persists until you go back and talk to Bluey when you kill the frill, so you know <something> is there).
