If you plan to play this multiplayer, don't purchase. Multiplayer is completely bugged (singleplayer also still has gamebreaking bugs as well, just not as severe) and they have yet to fix ANY of them while they just released a cosmetic dog breed DLC which made me lose all respect. For the price, it is absolutely not worth it whatsoever.

laggy, good game

It is meh... at best. Steam as no in-between so we go whit not recomend because it leaning more there.
Why?
While the idea is lovely and clearly an attempt of an improvement on the first game, Animal Shelter. The graphic has improved and SOME of the animation but only some. I like the nice touches of ears can move while petting an animal, I like the attention to detail whit diffrent breeds and one can read about them.
I writing this first now because when bough it way back, it was running pretty poor on a good computer. So I waited to give it a fair chance before judging.
Now it is time, and it hasn´t imporved much some quality of life improments now exist, like walking two dogs at the same time but it not enough.
The main issues whit this game is not graphics, it is content, animation and clunky game play.
You greeted whit the shelter of your own, now you have to clean it. Instead of any effort you just click on the rubbish and whole chunks of piles just vanish whit no animation just gone.
The tutorial forces you trough slow tedious gameplay trough one animal at time and one TASK at time. That makes it very restrictive instead of `Fill need bar` we have quest like feed animal check, give it water check, buy brush. (don´t clean it that comes later.)
And this remains a theme trough the whole game, you unlock paint brush but most is options is locked. You have quest that forces you to change five things while very little is unlocked.
Which intressting approch for something that supposed to creative and fun.
Lots of bugs and glitches stuff get stuck, animals gets stuck and run place, or the game freezes and lots of "random" FPS drops from playing at 90FPS.
The scaling is off animals in real life is faster than humans despite this in-game you will have to walk and stop repetedly waiting on the animal on leash, they walk in snail pace meanwhile they race trough the roll animation one whould think they prepare to fly off. The look is comidic in probably not the intended way.
Despite playing on hard, you need adopt away 3 animals! and you already rich, (you can buy every single item unlocked many times over and more. You practically rolling in money.)
While you barely unlocked the bathroom which is very early in game thing.
You forced to have staff while you have 2-3pets, it is way to early staff will just be in the way. (I know you can fire her, but that is cruel.)
In short, I am sad to say it lost its soul, first game was flowy and fun whit it quirks you could be creative, just watch your animals and enjoy life or speedrun it now you can either, it had worse graphics but graphics isn´t all.
So I do not recomend to buy it, it was after all realised 2025. The animation and content should be better.
