When I try to play the game it shows me this windows with an OK to press.
When I press OK it opens this site: https://www.java.com/en/download/ to download Java.
I already did and install Java, I did restart my PC and still can't play the game.
What now? Devs, pls fix...

go to your steamapps\common\Reveal the Deep\Reveal the Deep.app/Contents/MacOS (yes, even on windows!) folder and double-click the rtd.jar file

restart the pc before launching the game.

Pro-tip right here. But in my case (Win 7, 64-bit) I apparently just have to launch the game though that jar file. Running the jar and re-starting never makes the game get its ♥♥♥♥ together; I can never get past the "requires Java..." error if I try to launch through Steam. Seems like someone effed up a patch.

open prompt (cdm) type cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Reveal The Deep
and type java -jar rtd.exe

Ey guys i just fixed it for me, i bought this game cause i love lovecraftian stuff, i found the same issue with the java download. In the page of java go to see the full list of downloads and install the full windows packge (surely it will work with the correct one but i made it by this way), once downloaded install both enviorment tools, execute the game and cross your fingers.

I got it working this way

1. Go to the following: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Reveal The Deep\Reveal the Deep.app/Contents/MacOS
2. Run the executable file named "rtd", the executable Jar file.
3. Play the game.
