And now, you can instead play just fine, without any workaround.
- Gallery mode would be nice (because it’s sometimes hard to follow where you are and it would be nice to see the endings collected)
- A few modes seem to be missing like Time attack, Survival
- I personally didn’t like the boss in this one (Dust of Osiris), it just felt weird and didn’t feel like a challenge. Also, the main BGM was horrible on that map.
- I know the series doesn’t really have any more characters, but it would be nice to see 2-3 new characters in the future (Ryougi Shiki was super awesome and is well put together!)
Just a few ideas in my opinion. What do you guys think or would suggest?
Thank you for reading!
- Gallery Mode is not in the original PC version; I doubt it is in the arcade version as well.
- Same, though it is apparently possible to play a "Boss Rush" mode or something by modding the game, the mode being in the game's files (and iirc almost complete). I'd have to read about it again, but I've definitely seen something about these missing modes. The original PC version's pirate version (though it's not exactly pirate if you own the game on Steam or on a disc) has it unlocked (because it's modded). Same for the missing stages, they are in the "unofficial version" and can be modded back into the Steam version, but don't try this in Online Matches (you must have seen the notice).
- Once again, French-Bread.
- This game is the final entry in the series, the Steam version is recent but the game came out years ago. So, it's the definitive edition. The creation of any new Melty Blood game will depend on both French-Bread and Type-Moon, the holder of the Tsukihime/Melty Blood universe. If they do one though, it would probably be some kind of "Melty Blood HD"... Also, remember there's the Under Night In-Birth series by French-Bread, which they made when Type-Moon already had too many projects to create a Melty Blood HD... Which is probably why there's Eltnum in it, and why some stages look similar to Melty Blood's, as people discussed on the UNIEL Steam forums.
First of all, thanks for the replies!
Yeah, I did some research regarding this, and the "final" release was like years ago (I think in 2011), so I doubt that there will be more, but hope dies last as they say. If there will be something, then it will be released till 2018. And with so many games running from the same publishers, it is almost impossible that they will pick up an old project, due to they try to create a new fan base for the new games. I looked into Under Night, and yeah, noticed Sion, even the commands are the same and I see a lot of resemblance on characters. I liked the build-up of that game, but I still miss the MB universe.
Also, it would be so good if TYPE-MOON would release Fate Unlimited Code on PC.
You mentioned a map license issue in the previous post, which one was that? The bloody back ally map one? Or did I miss something...
As for the story, it looks like they covered all two Visual Novels and the mangas are over too, so unless they want to revive the Tsukihime universe, I doubt there would be further chapters. Especially with the Fate Stay Night hype going on, they will try to work with that. (Big FSN fan btw)
I have no idea about whether Fate/Unlimited Codes will be released on PC, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for it, especially since it wasn't published by ASW.
The stage license issue would be with "And nothing heart" or something, which uses a song from Kara no Kyoukai... Also the unavailable stages might not all be relevant to MBAACC, and some of them are available through Random in Training Mode only.
And the fun fact is, Type-Moon is actually making a Tsukihime HD... It could actually be the right time for them and French-Bread to make (or bake (*leaves*)) a Melty Blood HD as well... Maybe published by Arc System Works, maybe not.
