Also, I don't know if you do, but don't skip the intros while they're going slow online, or the slowness may carry over into the match. That goes for pretty much every fighting game that has something to do with Arc System Works.
This helps a bit, making my FPS about 20-30 which is better, but still not great. Strangely enough, I've played another time right afterwards and the FPS was good enough (~50). Though, I couldn't test it more: the matchmaking was putting me against the same person (with a big amount of wins) who clearly didn't want to play with me, a beginner, – I even tried waiting a bit to let them get another opponent, but, alas, it seems there isn't much of people online (at least currently).
