Framerate drops to 0-20 in online mode
The game works perfectly fine in arcade mode, but it becomes really-really slow when I go to Quick Match. What's the problem? Is my connection really that bad? I knew it was bad, but this...
P.S. I've tried searching this forum, so if I've missed a thread, please leave a link to it.

This game has been virtually lagless for me, most of the time, and my connection isn't the exactly the best; I'm going to point out the obvious here, have you checked if there aren't any other online programs or apps running in the background while you play?

There's nothing, it's basically only Steam.

I had a few issues with that. It seems to maybe be a memory or syncing issue cause after the first round all the framerate issues clear up and it's smooth sailing from there.

You may want to turn on the game's FPS counter (not Steam's) and see if it is saying the FPS is under 60 (though it probably isn't if the issue is only online).

Also, I don't know if you do, but don't skip the intros while they're going slow online, or the slowness may carry over into the match. That goes for pretty much every fighting game that has something to do with Arc System Works.

I've done it already before making the thread – that's where I've taken the numbers. Btw, I've also turned off one small program which kept tracking stats of some other game, just in case.

This helps a bit, making my FPS about 20-30 which is better, but still not great. Strangely enough, I've played another time right afterwards and the FPS was good enough (~50). Though, I couldn't test it more: the matchmaking was putting me against the same person (with a big amount of wins) who clearly didn't want to play with me, a beginner, – I even tried waiting a bit to let them get another opponent, but, alas, it seems there isn't much of people online (at least currently).

Another small, but perhaps significant thing, is when you leave your steam window open while playing on windowed mode (checking out forums, store, etc.), I've noticed that also results in laggy Melty matches; I've actually had it open during other online games and it makes no difference, but in Melty it's a whole different story.

It doesn't help – I still get 50 fps at most. Well, I guess it's fine as it is...
