Won't run on 64bit system

I can't get it to work on my Windows 10 64-bit HP. Every time I try I get the error SMilesConcert::SMilesConcert(): Digital driver initialization failed: waveOutOpen() failed..

Nothing doing on Windows 10(64bit). Ironicly I get the intro then it minimizes to the top corner of my screen and then you have to quit out from the taskbar. Win XP compatability mode just makes the mouse work, nothing to click on though.

I have the same issue on win 10 64 bit. Does anyone have a solution for this?

I don't get anything at all. It does apparently run in the computer but there is no indication on screen that it is running at all. Tried both windowed and full screen - no good. Tried different compatibility modes - no good. Tried running as admin or not - no good. Must kill in Task manager. Win 10, 64 bit. Phase 2 and Cold War seem to run OK.

Had the same problem, it was in the upper left corner and when full screen I couldn't do anything. Pressed F11 to switch to Windowed mode and it worked. Small window, but I was able to resize it to fill the screen. Doesn't remember it though so I have to do it each time I start.

Phase One sucht nach einem schon lange abgeschaltetem Server und stürzt ab.
Lösung:

Bei Win 10 (64 bit) in Einstellungen - Netzwerk und Internet - Windows-Fireball - Erweiterte Einstellungen - Ausgehende Regeln (li.) - Bei Aktionen (re.) - Neue Regel (re.) - Programm - Weiter - Dieser Programmpfad - durchsuchen:

C:/Programme (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Codename Panzers Cold War/Home/Game/CPCW.exe

Öffnen - weiter - Verbindung blockieren - weiter - (Hacken gesetzt bei Domäne / Privat / öffentlich) - weiter - Name vergeben (optional) - Fertig stellen.



Oder die Internetverbindung beim Start trennen z.B. Netzwerkkabel vom PC abklemmen oder Router ausschalten.

Panzers Phase One and Two run fine on my system. Windows 8.1 64 bit. Also Panzers Cold War and Rush for Berlin run fine as well.

Running Phase One in 4K under Win10_64 Pro, no issues.

No porblems at all. Even intro video works (i have k-lite codec pack).

hi guys ,
in my experience best thing that works is an older laptop with older version of windoes. you can find older laptops for real cheap or make a desktop that runs with older version of everything. run steam from there and should be fine. emulators would work but starting these games from steam will nullify the emulators.

You don't need any of that. It works just fine on modern machines with the latest OS's. The problem, I would imagine, is that some people don't have the correct software thats required for the game to run installed. Also, not only the version released on Steam works fine on my Windows 8.1, my old box versions of the game that I bought many years ago works on Windows 8.1.

In our remastered version we put a lot of effort into making it compatible to modern systems and standards like resolutions. Also multiplayer is fully back.

Oh yeah, It also replaced GameSpy (also used in First stormregion game, "S.W.I.N.E.") to something else (panzers online something...) But that needs registration....

But for some reason Cold War Still has old Atari stuff and GameSpy is still not replaced to something else in the Steam release... Any comments on that maybe?

Do you have SATA DVD drive or IDE?
Starforce soemtimes dont like SATA.
Use no-cd
