Multiple Saves

Is there a file somewhere that I could back up or copy somewhere in order to have two saves in part 1? Doing a playthrough with some friends on one, but I'd like to have my own profile as well.

I know there's a cloud save in part 2, but I'd like to make my own choices in part 1.

Unfortunately, no. As you said, there are endless cloud-saves, but no different profile type things. You can send feedback to Inkle via the "Send Feedback" button in the options menu if you would like to do so.

Note: There may be a file you can copy, but if there is, I haven't heard of it.

The Sorcery save files can be found as follows (info copied from the troubleshooting topic):

Windows: start a file browser, click the address bar at the top, and type in %LOCALAPPDATA%\inkle\Sorcery
Mac: in the Finder, select Go -> Go to Folder… and type in ~/Library/Application Support/inkle/Sorcery
