hey! yeah there will be another patch,, no exact timing planned for it,, somewhere next year surely..

I just played with the community 1.5 patch and it was noticeably harder on impossible. I actually lost :)
Then I played another game and won so I am 50-50 on impossible which honestly is about where I like my difficulty. Decent chance of losing makes the game fun.

Why play this is so old of a platform. Great in the 90's when I played it but NOW??? Really folks head over to Stellaris or something from this century :)

We play it because its GOOD and frankly, better than all the new crap that gets made today. They literally never made a 4X space empire game as good and tight as this.
Its truly a travesty that we never got a proper MOO2 sequel or proper MOO2 remaster.

I play 1.50. I only started MOO 2 a couple of years ago at most so there's no nostalgia or anything blinding me, it's just a damn good 4X game that still holds up remarkably well even today. What I love about my favorite 4X titles - including Civ 4, Alpha Centauri, GalCiv 2 and this - is that they're different enough to all have unique rules and conditions but the overall skills and experience is transferable.

I'm glad MOO 2 didn't get a remaster or a remake, I'm happy with the way it is and I'm grateful to have a classic to play with no DRM, DLC, ABCs and 123s. Just a damn good game and an all American space adventure when you shoot the bad guys in space ships and fly around getting high with your officers.

Fair enough friends. I bought MOO on the first day it came out. 2 and 3 well they are way past their allure to me anyways. Maybe take a look at Stellaris it is SOOO much better for a 4x game IMHO. Cheers

Pretty sure if you play it on Mac, it uses wine to play it. You’d either have to use wine to apply the mods or apply them on a windows pc and copy them back over to your Mac
