And yeah, don´t watch Umineko's anime adaptation, it's terrible.
"Sugokuiiya tsu nimieru youni egaketano wa ookiikoituwo dokitanai akutou ni saidoni dekinakyane."
There was no equivalent in the English releases until the 1.08 update to Onikakushi a month ago, and the initial release of Watanagashi.
Now, a direct translation of this Japanese text is "I really like how kind this character feels, I have to make her the worst kind of villain by the end of the story". One of Ryukishi07's friends (BT?) said their favourite character was Rika, so Ryukishi07 decided that he would eventually turn her evil, just to troll his friend. This is what ultimately led to Bernkastel in Umineko Chiru being the final villain.
Incidentally I don't really like the translation MangaGamer have gone with. When I was making minor mods for Onikakushi, I added "She seems so kind... I'll break her by the end" in tiny text below her name.
Ugh an Umineko spoiler from an arc I haven t read yet.
I hope that revelation wasn't too important :S
