Questions on Psaro

Hi,

Q1: How to defeat Psaro?:
Anyone has some tips to defeat Psaro? He is very strong.
I tried to fight him twice and loses. Hence, I continue with the story quests.
I have completed killing Velasco and 5 headed dragon and gained some level on the way.
Am I ready to fight him? how to avoid his attack?

Q2: Should I include Psaro in my party and level him?:
Once I get Psaro, should I swap him with Terry or Bianca?
My main 4 now is Aurora, Terry, Bianca and Jessica.
I really like Psaro as his skill very cool.
Should I level him up?? What happen if I start a new game+?
He will be gone right together with his level?

Burst damage him: If you try to play defensive he'll enrage and wipe your party.
Take advantage of his big incantation to deal massive damage.

You'll have to beat him again in new game plus.

There's an easy way to cheese him, build tension on all your characters while you grind his HP down and when he goes power up mode, activate your tension for the invincibility and unleash your tension move as late as possible. Switch character and repeat till he goes down.
He's indeed very strong if you try to beat him as soon as you get the quest/map, but doing this it becomes trivial as you are completely immune to his power up phase.

I just used dodge and the tornado attack to kill him and the Rose Guards. I kept tension attack for the end though.

I have already tried several times against him again before reading you guys post but still fail.
I use aurora and use hit and run strategy. dodge here and there. I also only use tension when he use it. however, after his tension is over which he left like around 20% hp. He become extremely crazy and slash everyone like mad and wipe my entire party.

I only swap between aurora or terry. Bianca and Jessica I fully let ai control as they are unsuitable to use. I don't think I will add yangus in my party as his level is lower than my main 4.


In regards to levelling him, if I start new game+ and I get him again by doing the quest again, what will be his level? will it be reset? please advice more. thanks.

i got extremely bad news for you if you think psaro is hard just wait until after you beat psaro and then after you beat the game you get to face zamos and nokturnal. they make the psaro fight loook like a cake walk. nokturnal has a move where he jumps and instantly kills you by dealing 999 points of damage and to make matters even worse he has alot of aoe attacks that can also instany kill you. zamos can also kill you with his aoe freezing attacks and he has pretty much what id call an ice kamehemehe that also instantly kills you.

ive still yet to beat them. theres gotta be some secret to make that outrageous damage hurt less.

You can block Nokturnal jump skill, you won't die (but it still hurts) or dodge it. For him there's no real strategy or tips, just learn his moveset and when it's safe to hit him and when to dodge or block.

For Zamos, 40% freeze reduc + 40% magic res (or 80% freeze + 20% mag res) and it becomes much more manageable even if you make mistakes and get frozen at times. You can dodge most of his skills. Also save your tension for the end when he spams skills and moves around a lot, invincibility helps a lot here.

Psaro is such a cheat. i having the same issue with him again and again. always lose when he left below 20% hp. he just wipe out my party. i always get both aurora and terry tension max before he cast his tension. can't get bianca max tension as i let ai control her and it is hard to use her when she is targeted. i am lvl 39 aurora, lvl 41 bianca lvl 41 jessica and lvl 36 terry.
Should I added yangus in the party to swap out bianca? but yangus is underlvl.... please advice. if no advice i will level my main 4 to lvl 50 plus and see this piece of ♥♥♥♥ will die anot.

heres what i did for psaro. keep whacking him with your sword to build tension and then switch to another character and whack him till that character builds tension and also stock up on lots of more heals for the fight and watch his attacks and on his final attack in each combo whack him a few times and rinse and repeat and when he goes into liberation mode use your tension with each character you have built up to stomp a mud hole in his ass.

I used him but his mana very low. His ultimate seems weird and it damage hortizontally.
Should I level him? If i play new game + in future, will his level remains or reset to 35?

i always use psaro and yes id imagine his level stays the same but i havent gotten that far in new game + to be sure though so dont quote me on that but however it did say all experience was carried over so its probably safe to assume its for psaro too. also just so you know when psaro gets a 50 hit cobo he goes into liberation mode for free without using the skill that takes 35 mana to use and you can use his ckicking combo to help you get thier really fast and liberation mode does a hell of alot of damage if you can maintain it because you can kill things like belials ,roseguardians,pazuzus and type G0s in a matter of a few seconds and you are probably already aware that they take a ton of damage before they die and also another nice feature of liberation mode is all his attacks become unblockable so if you hate those damn knights with shield like lethal nights or roseguardians it will chop them up easily.

psaro by far deals more damage than anyone else you have and im not sure the exact amount of damage increase he gets from liberation mode but id have to say its probably something like a 4X increase and i rarely use cut above as a skill because attacking with liberation is so much better and a cut above is a bit on the weak side and the mana points are better spent on using liberation when your combo hasnt hit 50.

also what i use on psaro to help me build mana and maintain it is by taking the skills that increase deftness for a higher critical chance then taking the 2 skills that restore mp when you get a critical and it restores 10 mp a hit instead of 4.

yes you definitly should hes very very good and hits like a truck and his coup de grace is hardly different from the way your main heros coup de grace be have where it kills everyone in front of you but none behind and i mean hell most characters coupe de grace attacks everyone in front several yards and his is no different.

its like this when you have a bunch of hard to kill enemies you wanna kill with coupe de grace just head past them to where they are all in your line of fire and kill them. also concerning psaro regular attacks he its alot of enemies in a wide arc but the hits are by far no means weak and out class any other character. when he goes into liberation mode it just become really unfair for most enemies and i beat the veteran gigantes with him that has a damn ♥♥♥♥ ton of hp before the minion could destoy the generator and i was dealling like over 1k damage a hit to him when he kneels down and about 500 when he isnt. i bet its even higher now since back then i had psaro at about level 46 and now hes level 67.

He keeps going into high tension after he loses 1/3 health--way before I can get one character's meter full--and his A Cut Above is basically an instant kill. that I can't dodge. And I've got one or two more fights before beating the game. Cold Fission's useless since he runs at you while you're casting it, as well
