Doesn't start- Windows 10

Just bought the game and it's not starting.

I'm running Windows 10 and tried launching in Windows 7 compatibility mode and still nothing.

I'm using a Radeon RX 580.

Did you verify the file integrity. It might be because you have a Radeon.

Ran it multiple times. No problems found.

When I uninstall my graphics card I can get the game to run, unfortunately it runs around 3 FPS.... which is garbage obviously. I'm going to look at either upgrading the driver or downgrading it in the hopes that it works out for me.

Okay. Got the latest driver updates successfully installed. The game now starts up and shortly afterwards it just closes.

I found zero fix and just returned the game.

When you click "Play" to launch the game on windows 10, there should be a steam pop up that has 2 choices: "play game" or "launch config tool" and clicking the config options allows you to swap to configurations related to windows 7, so you could play this game on windows 10 using windows 7 configurations. That's the only way to play Dragon Quest Heroes on windows 10, or you'll get the error message that windows 10 doesn't support some files that Dragon Quest Heroes has.

Crash to desktop on startup. Messing with the configuration tool does not resolve the issue.

I configured both the launch tool and the game to windows 7 compatibility. Nothing worked for me.

I know this may not be answered but, have you tried going into Admin to try? It worked for me.

I reached out to square enix who offered me zero help. Steam says it will not assist other than to offer a refund so that's what I decided to do.

If you're still having trouble on windows 10, change the compatibility mode on the executable in the steam Dragon Quest Heroes Folder to Windows 7.
I had trouble with it loading up, due to "graphic settings" regardless of my drivers being up to date and game cache verified. I've just played for about an hour with no issues.

hey man, i had the same problem. the game only works for me with the fullscreen option off and resolution hd 1080x720

work well on windows 10 Pro 1909 x64 and nVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 with all graphics options in max in 1920x1080 without compatibility mode

This is (or was not sure of current status) actually a known issue Windows 10, hardware in consideration isn't a very real factor.
The above is highlighted because in many instances it occurs by transitioning an old windows 7 system to windows 10 changing no hardware at all which should completely rule out hardware.
