Yes, I know the cut-scenes can be skipped by a vote, but that is not what I ment... I want to be able to disable the cut scenes on their individual game.
*you can turn Sam's voice off, but that does not cover any cut-scenes
*you can turn off the "gib" feature
*you can turn off the "gore" or make it something different such as "kid", but as Milkfat indicated is pretty lame
*you can skip the cut-scenes buy all players voting during the game as each cut-scene begins
*you can get a workshop item/mod that covers up the naked Harpy
So what's the deal with not offering an option to censor the bad language for the audio in cut-scenes? Also, would it be beyond the current modders to make some kind of mo the addresses the "bad language" issue?
Edit: bummer, steam's hearths are not pink anymore. :(

I realize you were trying to be funny, but perhaps you forgot about "hippie" and "kids" gore modes... they exist on an entirely different level of funniness and were actually implemented into the game! At the very least for subtitles: I would expect there to be giant, pulsating, cartoony, special characters (shift+number on the keyboard). On the dialogue side of things: I would expect offending words to be covered by various percussive instruments (clown honks, drum hits, siren whistles, cymbal crashes, etc.).
You should write those ideas down!
I would probably die. Laughing.
I was dead serious. Pardon the pun. Both of them. :P
But it is funny. Isn't it? ;) I mean the entire situation is funny. The kids/hippie modes were always in Sam games, but they were not added purely for censoring reasons. They are more of a joke on the meaninglessness of this kind of censoring. Initially, we were asked by the one of the publishers, IIRC, to add "censoring options". But I ask you, does making people explode into flowers or candy when you shoot them with a rocket seem more appropriate to show to kids than real blood? While I'm with most psychologists on the boat that fantasy violence is _not_ harmful (but quite on the contrary, it can be helpful!), if you take this at a face value, one could say that teaching kids that if you shoot someone in their face they will burst into flowers - it just might be _worse_ than showing real blood. If you catch my drift....
But anyway, I _am_ taking down notes about your ideas. They just might pop up in the future games. :P
