Is the Gold Edition worth it?
(First time buying on Steam)
Does the bonus content, Jewel of the Nile and the 1.5$ save justify the bundle being twice the price of the base game?

Well the bonus content includes the soundtrack and other things, so if you want that stuff then yeah, it's worth.
The DLC is a proper one, I mean it's not some content available at release time and locked behind a paywall like many other devs does, and it's quite good too.

But only you can decide, if you're asking a Serious Sam fan then the answer will always be yes, it's worth :)
