Native Linux Version
Croteam should really look into collaborating with some of the various community members who have created open source Linux ports of these games to implement a native Linux version into the Steam and GOG releases. They already have a native version of Fusion for Linux, so It would be nice to have native versions for the original games (or Revolution preferably, but I think we all know that isn't going to happen) directly integrated into these releases as well.

Regardless of how you implement these Linux versions, they won't be compatible with the original 2001/2002 versions (especially multiplayer), which is what they're trying to preserve.
They work perfectly fine under Proton from my experience, even Revolution.

Yeah, that's true. Maybe then it should only be Revolution that gets looked at for a native port (unlikely as it may be) even despite it working well enough under Proton because it's always nice to have a native port (that works) when possible. It's not really something that gravely concerns me though, just a thought I had upon finding out about Serious Sam Classic VK and stuff.
