I can only move with the D-Pad and my left analog stick only swaps weapons, while my right analog stick, only lets me look up and down but not left and right
Is there a solution for this problem I am having?

Alternatively, you can try playing the Revolution version (which you got for free with your game). That has built-in support for XInput controllers. Though, again, if your controller is not XInput-capable, then there's no good solution, except configuring it manually, as for pre-XInput devices there was no good standard for what is bound to what.
Dude you're in luck. Wife got craving for some co-op split screen shooter action today and I remembered I had the two Serious Sam games. The wiki has been archived a long time ago and it just redirects to SS4's steam page right now, however using the Wayback Machine (https://archive.org/web/) I managed to get to the file! :) Here are the instructions:
