Crashing on level startup

The Technology Test and all menus, demos etc work perfectly, but whenever I try to load Training or Story I just get a crash and a "SeriousSam.exe has stopped working" Windows popup message.

If you're using windows 10 i'd suggest runnning the game in compatibility mode for windows 7. Fixed literally all of my crash issues.

Uh scratch that. That only fixed one level for some reason. Yeah well turns out i'm crashing on saving, loading certain levels, etc.

Yeah, I'm using 10. Compatibility didn't work for me either.

What I figured out was change the rendering option from DirectX to opengl. ACTUALLY FIXES EVEYTHING. Did a lot of testing.

Not sure if it's a quirk of my graphics card, but when I set it to OpenGl all it did was flip out the screen out for a few seconds before changing back to DirectX.

That's really weird. Its the only fix I know so don't know.

I have a really old laptop with a built-in graphics card, so that might explain it. My PC's in for repairs so I can't test it, but IIRC it worked.
