i do like to run 41 cards when i dont know what car to get rid of thou or add 1 to 40 to deal with an oponent every now and then
There's no maximum, but making your deck larger generally won't make it better, and you'll notice performance problems if you make it too big.
But if you want a consistent deck you should keep it at 60 or as close to 60 as possible. Yes, even when playing cleric and using the divine altar.
Cool, I was just going to ask if anybody actually finds the extra perks for a 100-sized deck worth the handicaps of less reliable card draw. I take it the answer is pretty much always no then?
At the end of the day, the more focused a deck is, the more reliably it will perform. The bigger the deck gets, the less likely you are to draw what you actually wanted. It can be fun to run a big deck (the aforementioned jank bot for example....and double divine altar is silly too), but if you're after a practical one you should try to trim the fat from them.
So if we ever have a spider dungeon... bring a 300 card deck.
