Great, thanks a lot Proxee!
I did get some sleep and put also a EEPE to Dropbox
https://www.dropbox.com/s/pvvnznihnfznvoh/Liftoff_Taranis.eepe?dl=0
Then now I saw you already pushed one ;)
It's for Windows for sure - but it would be nice to add 2 switches for example Flightmode or whatever to the mixer...
Maybe this brings up a linked default modelfile with more support of a transmitter in general - just to avoid the ususal mixup with keyboard usage. :)
Snap! i just got my taranis yesterday after getting sick, tired, pissed off and seriously frustrated with my Spektrum DX6 and horizon hobbies, whom sell dangerous products and lie to their customers, screw Spektrum! FrSky Taranis forever!
Sorry, little rant there. Yeah, im really impressed with the taranis, happy as could be, i smile every time i switch it on. I'm in the same boat as you though, i decided to go with version 2.0.19 firmware untill the newer 2.1.7 stuff matures a bit, plus the 2.0 is more documented at the moment for tutorials etc. But theres just so much stuff to learn for setting up models! could do with a template to see how someone experienced has theirs setup, its a nice day outside an im not flyin! im not even playin this sim! Think im experiencing withdrawal symptoms.
You and me Sir are more likely to be on the same fairyboat. I crashed my Tarot Iron Man 650 just week ago for the same reason you stated before, Spectrum false advertisment, and even tho i was warned i just lost total controll at 60 meters and crashed into a innocent guy innocently driving his ATV nearly killing him (17" props carbon fiber) and taking out his whole rear view mirror.
So i decided to take a serious approach and invest in the Taranis, sure it does seem complicated at first but it will sink in. I would rather learn the Taranis for a month than go on a suicide/mayhem flight.
Let us hope these nice devs here are willing to help us out or at least give us some more insight on making models and connecting it to PC for the 2.0 fw, which imo is more stable than the 2.1.7 or at least in theory for a noob like me. :)
I already have a radio but it's a cheap hobbyking one, I would consider getting a new better one if I knew I could play Liftoff using it
Anyhow, back on topic. I got my taranis working flawlessly with Liftoff!
Do what this dude says on youtube and it works absalutly spot on!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDdZbcF2dUM
pretty much plug n play!
Still not very usefull for setting up a model for a real quad though but atleast its got Liftoff working again!
Chances are you can use the one you have just fine for now, does it have a USB socket on there?
If your getting serious about FPV Racing, you'l find that allmost everyone reccomends the FrSky Taranis X9D, with good reason, its ace!
Dont buy a Spektrum! They're totally crap for FPV quads, youl allways get brownouts when flying infront of yourself because of the dumbass fixed-position antenna on the Tx, and the receivers are ridiculously expensive, they fail a lot, and you'l have absalutly NO CHOICE but to buy Spektrum gear.
With the FrSky Taranis, you have freedom, and it feels good!
Yes the dud was allright he was cool and didn't whine at all i was lucky on many occasions with this event. Thanks for sharing the video ill make sure to try it out later when i get back home i hope it works and i can try out the Taranis for the first time ^_^
I have a basic 6ch HobbyKing one. It didn't come with a USB cable, but it does have a PS2 socket at the back, which I could convert to USB the same way is done with old PS2 computer mice.
Would the game know how to handle it tho? Wouldn't there need to be drivers etc.?
PS: this is my current thing
