Just make it work!
I am using Futaba T8FG on MAC with this simulator usb cable link[www.hobbyking.com] and it is working perfectly in HotProps, Freerider, Heli-X, AeroSIM etc...
The USB controller is detected as KMODEL simulator-XTR+G2-FMS controller, by ControllerMate or Hotprops ...
I tried it with Liftoff expecting better simulation than others..but when calibrating and assigning controls there is allways one of them unrecognizable, usualy Roll, sometimes Pitch.
I remaped channels on Futaba also but no luck...Liftoff cannot see more than 3 channels.
Used ControllerMate to make virtual joystick configuration ...no luck. Everything is ok in ControllerMate and all inputs are present but in Liftoff I always lacks one channel.
I am very dissapointed in this purchase and the fact that I paid for something expecting to have better expirience than in free software.
We are still hard at work on the game and an upgrade to the calibration tool is on our priority list. Please note that Liftoff is an Early Access project and far from being finished. This is how we describe it on our website and on the store page:
"If you are someone who enjoys a solid polished product we don’t recommend the Early Access version of the game. Early Access is only for those who are willing to invest in a project early on and are prepared to deal with all the little teething problems that are inherent in game production. While getting involved as early as possible might be exciting, we would recommend most players to wait for the full experience. Everything released under the Early Access program is to be considered work in progress and may not represent the final product."
Try an assignment routine only.
OPTIONS > CONTROLS > JOYSTICK SETUP > ASSIGN
Follow the instructions carefully, center the THR before prceeding to YAW, etc.
If necessary, use the THR Zero Point slider to ensure IDLE/ARM functions correctly within the simulation.

This topic is an old topic and since then Liftoff made a lot of progress on the calibration side of things. 99% of the time remotes seem to work with Liftoff no, there's just some rare cases of some remote/cable/dongle/pc setups that don't seem to give any workable input data to the game software. There's not a lot we can do about that.
I'm moving this topic to the right subforum btw.
