USB Flight Simulator Cable for DX5e Dx6i DX7 JR Futaba RC RealFlight Spektrum Esky FMS (practice with your RC Helicopter Controller on PC) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007WB3TL2/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_W1CtwbD0TEQXS
It seems to have a few modes on the back but no selector switch that I can tell? It works really well with FPV Free-rider on my phone?

Only problem is they only have stock in the china warehouse, could take a few weeks to arrive!
Hey there RichyP - the fact that you're getting signal recognition is half the battle.
1) Do you use this cable with other RC Sims - succesfully, I assume?
2) Make sure you don't have any other input devices connected (PS3 controller, xBox controller, etc)
3) Have you attempted the Manual Calibration option at the top of the Menu? - when you try the manual calibration, it detects active channels and assigns them as you tell it to, instead of trying to map to a preset configuration. With my DX6 - it at first doesn't appear to have recognized any inputs. Just keep going through the steps. When I first calibrate it doesn't make the bars orange yet; have to keep going and assign throttle/yaw/etc and then they respond.
-Exit software
-Center all sticks at neutral position (make sure your throttle is set to 0 - 100 and not negative 100 to positive 100)
-Start software
-Go to Options and choose input calibration if it's not the first default screen
-Choose Manual Calibration at the top
-Select "Start Calibration" and move both sticks in full circles several times
-Click "End calibration"
-Next, it will ask you to set throttle, yaw, ele and ail independently.
-Finally, end the calibration.
Going through those steps worked for me.
12 in 1 USB Flight Simulator Cable for ESKY FUTABA Spektrum Transmitters for RealFlight G2/G3/G3.5/G4/G4.5/G5, Reflex XTR, ReroFly Professional Deluxe, PhoenixRC 2.0/2.5/3.0, Virtual RC Racing https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00HVUHXC0/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_6iGtwbYS83D3E
I godt tre same problem with My spektrum 8i. But aften i turn Aux 2 and AUX 3 offentlige ( under switches) the problem disapear.
How do you chnage to areo fly i am having trouble not getting any throttle imput
It depends on which USB dongle you have. There are dozens of variants out there, and not all have a switch to change what you are emulating. If it does have a witch on it, it's on the back panel of the USB plastic port (on mine, anyway) and I think the AeroFly is the 3rd click up. The other USB dongle I have is more similar to the link RichyP posted except that one doesn't have a toggle switch; I have to calibrate it directly in Windows 8.1 HIB input configuration tool first before simulators will recognize the Yaw channel input.
If you are getting the majority of your channels, you may need to setup an Offset/Sub-trim on the channel it is not recognizing. What is your TX? It appears the most frequent to have issues are Spektrum with these cheap USB adapters, so I would advise as has been posted in the guides section - create a new blank model, try to calibrate, and start trouble shooting from there. If a specific channel doesn't shop up/perform like you'd like - try the manual calibration method and make sure when assigning the channels to move the sticks slowly toward the direction it's telling you to. Seems to recognize the range of motion better if you do it slowly.
Good luck! Let us know if you can't get it working.
Thank you for that information! I'm sure we'll continue to diagnose the symptoms people are experiencing- since there are so very many transmitters out there and so many adapters out there. SO many combinations to work through, between computer setups, operating systems, transmitters, adapters, etc.
I am using the dx5e and the http://www.amazon.co.uk/Simulator-RealFlight-Spektrum-Helicopter-Controller/dp/B007WB3TL2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1447967401&sr=8-1&keywords=dx5e+usb
it says arofly is number 3 but i am not sure how to change it to number 3
Have you used it with other simulators, assuming same computer - same USB port - same TX - etc?
Looks like you have the exact same one as the original poster (RichyP) Theres gotta be a way to get that thing working! do you still have the software disc? maybe what you need is on there? worth a look.
