Windows recognizes the BETAFPV Joystick ("joy.cpl") correctly, even in device and printers, but not in the device manager. AND: I can't calibrate it, I can't do anything with the joysticks...
Liftoff recognizes the controller as well "BETAFPV controller detected", but I when I move the joysticks on the controller there's no input in Liftoff :/
Yes, I reconnected the controller and restarted several times.
Any idea? Thanks in advance!
Good fly!!
***do not turn on the controller at any time while playing.
Having the same issue, was this ever resolved?
I have tried all the above. Win11 does recognise the BETAFPV controller, HTML5 gamepad also recognised input.
Have tried unplugging while in game, nothing seems to work. Please assist
The controller definitely works with Liftoff, but it has a bit of a quirk. It needs to be turned off before plugging it in, and remain off (so don't push the power button afterwards). The LED around the power button should show green when plugged in to your system. Any other color will not make the system pick any input signal.
If it's showing up in the HTML5 gamepad website and input is detected there, then Steam is the final hurdle. Liftoff doesn't use Steam Input, which hijacks all controller input. You can disable it on a per-game basis. It can be found through Liftoff's properties in your Steam library. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/vs2kzJm.png
When that's disabled, all that's left to do is an in-game calibration pass.
Dude! Thank you!
I was changing the controller properties in Steam "general" and not LiftOff specific.
Thanks so much, was pulling my hair out! You've made my daughters' day!
Many thanks for you!
Recalibrate it again and follow the on-screen animations. At the end of the calibration process, you can fine-tune the calibration and invert certain axes.
I had to invert the throttle.
