Problem with XSR-SIM
Hi guys,

I am having problems with the FrSky XSR-SIM USB receiver.
In Windows and from https://gamepad-tester.com/ it is recognised correctly.
Unfortunately not in LiftOff.

I followed the instructions (from FrSky) with my FrSky Taranis Q X7: How to use the XSR SIM dongle in the FPV simulators.
The Q X7 is also (as mentioned above) correctly connected to the receiver (XSR-SIM lights up green).

I checked LiftOff's support page and also checked all the things listed here: My input device is not being recognised![www.liftoff-game.com]

Also here: My OpenTX Device (Taranis/RadioMaster) does not work anymore (Windows 10)[www.liftoff-game.com].

Unfortunately, nothing led to the solution of my problem.

OpenTX 2.3.14-otx (1e09791a) from 23.07.2021 is installed on the Q X7.
I am using Windows 10 Pro 21H2.

Does anyone have any ideas? :steamsad:

Edit: The Q X7 works with the normal USB connection (PC - Q X7). Just not with the XSR SIM.

I think the dongle has a switch on there, which should make it work. I think I received a similar question about this particular dongle which started working when the switch was set to the other position.

Its this dongle: FrSky XSR-SIM[www.frsky-rc.com]

There is only one button on the dongle.
But it only has the function to get the dongle into the "binding" mode so that you can connect the transmitter.

Unfortunately, there is no other switch or similar.

Hmm, ok. Then I don't know what a possible solution to this would be. :/

I have figured it out!
I had to calibrate the controller MANUALLY in LiftOff because none of the channels were assigned.
Can't something be done for future players with similar problems?

It was not shown to me that the joysticks move in the controller menu. If any 4 channels were assigned on Throttle, Roll, Pitch and Yaw, you would at least somehow see that the transmitter LiftOff can successfully send commands.

Maybe this helps you.
