Can't get past Center Sticks when trying to get Taranis x9d to calibrate

Why not exactly? What issue are you experiencing?

Nothing that I do causes the message "Center Sticks" to go away. My rotating sticks gets me to center sticks. Then nothing advances me. Sticks keep pulsating. Tried use current center. No change. Have re-calibrated many times.
I am using a FrSky Taranis x9d with a FrSky xsr-sim Dongle.
Just went through binding process again. Following instructions on youtube: “How to use XSR SIM dongle in the FPV simulators.” That video uses LiftOff as an example.
When I first get to the sensors section, it shows FrSky. Stick movements do not cause the pictured drone to move.
