In my opinion its absolutly an problem on mac side, because i can't see the controller either on the HTML5 Gamepad Tester or the System USB Device list. The BETAFPV configurator on the other side connects to the Controller and shows the Input Values
I think there's an driver issue on mac but unfortunally I can't find any drivers for this RC
No driver should be needed (at least that I know of). We use the BetaFPV Lite 2 controller at our office, and that one works on my mac without any special setup (apart from the Steam thing).
Perhaps you might also need to check this: close down Steam complete before checking in the HTML5 Gamepad tester. If you have Steam running, it might still claim that controller and my block input for other applications. So make to have it either set to disable generic gamepad support in the general settings, or close down Steam completely before checking that. I'm not sure if this still an issue today, but it was one in the past.
Which type of dongle are you talking about?
Any kind of dongle that connects to USB-C to your mac, and connects to USB-A to your controller. So could be a dongle that offers multiple ports, or could be a simple USB-C to USB-A adapter, or your computer monitor, if that offers a USB hub functionality.
It only does that with some controllers though, so your milage may vary, but we've noticed that, for some reason the DJI FPV controller on mac would only be recognized if it was connected with a USB-A connection in there somewhere.
This is of course also not scientific and is just based on our experience along with numerous reports of people that did it this way. It's definitely something that's on the mac's side, or how a controller behaves over USB-C.
My mac detects controller but buttons don’t work 🙁
Please check the manual on how to properly connect the controller for simulator use. It has a specific chapter about it. When you've done that, also make sure to perform a calibration in-game for the sticks to properly match with your inputs.
For some reason, USB-C to USB-C on mac may not work. We got several reports from DJI users where their controller wasn't detected when directly connecting it. Most solve this issue using a dongle or a dock, to convert between USB-C to USB-A and back again.
The BetaFPV Lite Radio works on my mac, but I use my monitor as a USB dock as well, and it works when I connect it through there.
