Taranis + Mac Pro
Anyone having issues since the latest update? Liftoff won't recognize the controller anymore ... steam recognizes it but once in the game, it won't calibrate. Help!

I have had a few issues,Taranis plus,macbook pro.
Make sure your TX is on with usb lead in then fire up liftoff/steam & use the preset taranis.
If i try to calibrate after using the preset, the tx lose's connection so i have just changed my throttle on the taranis menu.

I haven't tried Liftoff on my Mac Pro yet, but for Liftoff on my Macbook Pro I must unplug external USB devices before connecting the Taranis Plus and launching Steam/Liftoff. I've got an external Wacom tablet and keyboard that interferes for some reason. This was the same for FPV Freerider on both the Mac Pro and Macbook Pro.

I've seen other people with issues relating to the eepe model. Here's mine—works for Liftoff and FPVFR, turns off the radios, and includes a BMP of the Liftoff logo for the model. Used OpenTX 2.1.6 and Companion. http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=70103359668292844647

I spent a lot of time trying to get the Taranis Plus to work on my MacBook Air running OS 10.10.5. Neither Liftoff nor OpenTX Companion would recognize it. dfu-util kept saying "No DFU capable USB device found". I tried two different cables. I held the switches and got into the firmware update mode, then tried connecting the cable, opening OpenTX Companion, and doing a backup. Same thing, no device found. Liftoff wasn't recognizing it either when I went to controller setup, whether it was off or on, in normal mode or firmware update mode.

I finally found somewhere that said dfu-util depended on lib-usb. This page seemed helpful: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3853634/how-to-set-up-libusb-on-mac-os-x but when I ran the "brew install libusb-compat" command in Terminal it said I didn't have Homebrew installed. Which led me to this page: http://coolestguidesontheplanet.com/installing-homebrew-os-x-yosemite-10-10-package-manager-unix-apps/ I already had XCode, so I skipped to running this command in Terminal --> ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" After that ran successfully, I ran -- > brew install libusb-compat then I turned off my controller, plugged it in, and when I ran --> /opt/local/bin/dfu-util -l it finally recognized it! Wooooooo! I was able to do a firmware backup in OpenTx Companion, but it still wouldn't let me read models. I tried it with power on and off, and both in the firmware update mode and regular usb mode. So I'm not sure why that doesn't work.

To get it to work with Liftoff I turned the controller on in normal mode, plugged in the usb cable, opened Liftoff and went back to the controller setup, and it finally recognized it there too. I selected the Taranis preset and then did the calibration, and after 4-5 hours I'm finally in business!

After all of that, I'm not sure it wasn't just a bad USB cable the whole time. The cable that worked for me yesterday gave me intermittent issues today. I tried a brand new one and all issues are resolved. I'm able to flash the controller and read and write models to it now. And it works great with Liftoff.
