[Basics] Can't Arm the Drone
Im using a basic keyboard just to test out the game and see if the game is something I will want to play more of or not. As I started the tutorial, I could not figure out how to arm the drone at all, I assumed you would hole the decend button which would be down arrow but that did not work no matter how many times I tried. I also switched the buttom multiplt etimes to different keys and it still wouldnt work. am I doing something wrong?

HI Cerberus,

As this is a realistic flight simulation, it requires a controller or remote to play. Flying a drone with your keyboard is technical and practical impossible. We've added to this our system requirements. We have no button to arm your drone for the same reason.

I can't arm the drone in tutorial mode with my AT9, but I can arm it in freeflight mode.

Hm. That's interesting. You could try to adjust your throttle's trim, either with the manual trim buttons or with the Sub Trim features. Or may also try to adjust the Travel Adjustment. I've never used a RadioLink transmitter, but I believe it is often referred to as Servo End Point adjustment, EPA, Travel, Travel Adj, or Servo Adj. Etc.

You will just want to set it at a negative number to decrease the throttle range just a bit to ensure the transmitter is hitting the 'Arm' threshold.

Interesting indeed. The detection is basically identical. (The throttle needs to reach the bottom 10% of its range, taking into account any calibrations made in the joystick configuration tool.) Do you not get the prompt that says to arm your drone or does the input simply not get registered? Did awh0423's suggestions make any difference?

I had that issue when I connected PS4 controller to a macbook with Liftoff running.
I changed the throttle position to be:
0 -> when centered
full -> when moved up

because PS4 controller is centering the throttle with springs.

Then - I could not ARM the drone and lift off.

Could you guys make a setting in the controls so that we could ARM/DISARM the drone with a keyboard key ?

You already can in the button setup window.
