please sort out gravity!!!!
This game is cool. I fly FPV and bought this for those rainy days when you are stuck in the house. The gravity needs sorting out though, its like im flying on the moon! This gives you way too much time to correct yourself. Maybe they could make the gravity adjustable......

Yes. This is an important feature problem, the quads fall way too slow. If this is because of Minus 2's height problem, and they adjusted gravity throughout the whole game, they should make it level-specific. Makes me feel like a bit of a pro though, maybe that's the point? ;)

Guys please, we have explained this a couple of times. There's nothing wrong with "gravity". Gravity is a constant as it is in reality and we have never changed it in any update. If we change the standard gravity setting the whole simulation would break. Furthermore there's no logic to having gravity different in different environments, unless you are in space, I'm not sure how you think this would be a great idea.
We do agree the flight behaviour is not 100% perfect yet and we are working on improving it in future updates, as has always been the plan during Early Access. Changes in the "floaty" feel has more to do with things like air drag, it's a very complex thing to simulate but we want to do it right. We want to get as close to reality as possible by trying to simulate reality, not by faking effects and changing elements like gravity in an artificial way like other "sims" would do. It's just a matter of time and we are currently working with people like BorisB to get it right.

Furthermore Minus Two has no height problem, it's an exact replica of an existing parking lot we race in every week together with pilots like MetallDanny and BorisB. We used photo and scan references from the real location and the architectural plans we got from the city of Genk to recreate it. We agree the ceiling is low, but this is reality. Minus Two is for those who want a challenge.

Graivity setting
I noticed that FPV Freerider has a gravity and mass setting to make the quad feel more like the one you own. Reading posts on reddit people claim FPV Freerider is better in terms that it allows you to set it up. Although gravity seems great in Liftoff maybe adding this feature will make Liftoff even better.

Awesome video and this post is great dev response giving precsie insights on the game, and i am actually pretty hyped that BorisB is on the case with you!

In Liftoff, the mass of your drone is determined by the total weight of the components you select in the Workbench. Did you try tinkering around a bit there? In time, we will likely make more components available with which to approximate your own setup as closely as possible, but for the time being, it seems only natural that a drone with different specifications should fly slightly differently.

We're just not really adherents of the school of thought that, after having gotten used to a pickup truck, would ask for a lead bicycle. ;)

One thing I noticed was the forced mass in the xml file. I edited that and got a much better "feeling" quad that is closer to mine. One thing I didn't realize until later was I have a gopro on mine which adds 60 grams. Bumping up the mass and playing a bit with the drag settings really helped. Still not perfect, but hey, it's a simulator. No sim is perfect, but can be pretty close and Liftoff is getting there.

This is an actual location? Where? I wanna fly it cuz I think the track is BS. I've got it down to 1:13 but I just don't see how it's real. The gates feel like they are 2 feet wide 2 feet tall. The floors there must be made out of cheese graters and every gate must be made with thinly woven kevlar fibers. I call this map the '*itch slap map' because you can execute an otherwise gorgeous flight just to have it '*itch slapped down'. In fact, I'm gonnuh create a thread just for the most ridiculous crashes just on that map.

Its a real underground parking lot in Cmine in Genk (Belgium) Always welcome to fly with us!

Uh, belgium is a bit far..... Otherwise I would. Kinduh like the argument I have about how racing quads is not a shorty's game anymore. It was just on Fox News last night. It is thusly ruined. Not everyone can afford to globe trot to have fun :) Oh, Oh.... AND put down YOUR guyzez flight times for Minus 2. I don't care how absurd they are as long as you're not lying. I wanna goal and no one is posting times for this track.

LOL now HOLD on a minute here hahahaha. This is not the same not even close hehehehe. It's cool. I wish I was there yes. You guys put your times down come on play the game put down a racing time. I want something that is true therefore realistic. You guys are way better than me but if I can fly for something that is obtainable I'll beat my head till it's bloody. Seriously. I just don't want to hear "We did it in 15 seconds." and I have to go to the hospital delerious.
LuGus Studios  [developer] Mar 17, 2016 @ 1:46pm
We documented the whole parkinglot in detail, measuring every part of it, creating 3D scans and using the exact building plans they used to build the real parking lot.

We race in it every week with our Drone Racing Belgium team including some of the top pilots in the world like VinceBee, BorisB and Metall Danny. These guys also played Liftoff. It's a hard place to race in real-life too.

Now I would appreciate having a normal, friendly and constructive talk about this with you, but If I see another rude post like this I will have to close this discussion, that would be a shame. We like good and constructive feedback on what clearly is a product in development, but I don't appreciate the way you talk to me and my team. Please keep it mature. No need for "hahaha", "hehehe", "CAPITALS", "BS", "bloody seriously" and non-words like "guyzez", I'm sure that's not how you talked on Fox News. Thanks in advance!
gearwarrior Mar 17, 2016 @ 7:30pm
Oh, that's OK. I don't need to have a talk with you. I'm just a shorty remember? I am am bit Crass but I don't mind nobody deserves being treated like an authority. Actually, if you're so motivated you can remove this game from my Steam how bout that? I'd agree you measured it down as far as the car park but I didn't see any of you going through gates and I'm joking around it's no big deal. Believe me, if you're going to take a moral and ethical high road you will make us both feel a lot better by banning me. Of course, if you do that I'd like my money back and while your at it $110 bux for waste of Windows OS that I bought just for this game. You guys are always on shorty patrol I bet you don't even know what that means. Are you going to Mega Caverns in Louisville? Maybe we could face to face there it's so much easier to talk in person you know no confusion that way. You clearly don't get that when I'm haha, lol Hehehe it's in good spirits don't worry though I'm not making excuses for you...

I'm doing about 45 second laps in Minus 2, I'd be happy to upload a video of me doing it.
LuGus Studios  [developer] Mar 18, 2016 @ 1:40am
*closed* for obvious reasons.
This is not going anywhere constructive and trying to turn this into a friendly and mature conversation looks like a wasted effort. We have better things to do.
