Xbox 360 controller automatic throttle in acro mode
In accro mode when my left stick is centered the throttle remains turned on, pulling the stick down shuts down the throttle. Steam Input is disabled in steam properties. The controller was calibrated and while sticks aren't perectly centered, I had no issues flying with this controller in DRL, there my xbox controller is recognized as playstation. When I switch to 3d mode, it seemingly behaves as it should with throttle turning off with left stick centered. (I first played DRL and there it works just like here when I turn on 3d mode)

This behavior is considered normal. When the throttle is completely down, it signifies no throttle input, while all the way up corresponds to full speed. The middle position represents 50% of your throttle range.

However, if you prefer your center point to represent zero throttle, it means sacrificing approximately half of your input resolution. Although not optimal, you can configure this setup in Liftoff through the calibration settings. Just keep in mind that by doing so, you will effectively reduce your input range by about half. What DRL seems to do is giving you this handicap automatically, in Liftoff it's an option to configure.

That explains it. DRL gave me the impression that in RC controllers centered left stick also equals zero thrust. Thanks.
