We're in the process of releasing a new update that has a whole new and interactive tutorial which should better represent what Liftoff is about today.
Are there any estimations of launch? Until then, what would be the best way to learn and practice flying daily?
Any series on, for example YouTube that teaches on how to fly FPV drones could be used and translated to things to do in Liftoff. Joshua Bardwell has a great series that's frequently used in the Free Rider simulator. Many of those can be directly used in Liftoff.
I'll jump right in then! Thanks ;)
Throttle control is bad in the training tutorial, use the middle of the throttle stick travel for the 0 thrust move up to increase thrust, bottom end doesn’t do anything (they did not fix this in the experimental update to the tutorial). In game controls are better than the tutorial, and you use the full throttle travel. In the first lesson learn to fly around in line of sight mode ( push B on keyboard) works best on a big screen TV. The most important lesson is the Throttle and Pitch tutorial, master it.
Practice flying around the straw bale or The Green map. Learn to hover, Roll, flip forward and backwards, and power loop. Diving below trees and flying back up in Woodpecker level helps with learning Pitch control. To reduce damage and constant restarts use God mode until you stop crashing.

Straw Bale: Fly forward turn right, then fly through barn door, then up out through the back window.
Practice orbiting fountain in Bando City.
In Minus Two fly straight forward towards the other side of the parking garage when you get to the wall do a 180-degree turn, then fly back to where you started and do a 180 turn again and repeat until it is fluid.
Go to FPV academy on YouTube watch the videos in the following list, you can also download the maps in liftoff workshop.

FPV academy beginner lesson 3: Turning.
Practice racing in Straw Bale field day map. Improve your lap time, do not miss gates and learn to recover when you miss gates instead of restarting.
Learn to fly in Liftoff arena hallways and use stairs to move between the three levels.

Whoa! Thank you! Very nice of you to put effort into this message. Appreciate it
Turning took me some time to figure out. Your brain must figure out the right mix of throttle roll, yaw and even pitch to navigate a turn. Flying in height restricted places like Minus Two helps improve throttle control and doing the 180 turns will help your brain figure out the mix of yaw, roll and pitch required for a turn. I find turns similar to doing half a orbit but with the orbit being much tighter. I practiced turning on the "FPV academy beginner lesson 3: Turning" map around the square track. load in custom position, then follow the markers on the ground. After you turn practice to straighten out the drone and follow along the markers. It is better to execute the turn properly than to go fast.
I am trying the same route. I think the thing with throttle working from the middle in the tutorial is a bit confusing. Idon't want to get used to one movement and then in real life try to re-learn
