DJI AVATA support
Hello everybody,

does this simulator works with DJI AVATA physics?

And it works with the DJI Motion Controller?
At the moment it is quite difficult to find on the market the DJI Remote Control 2 :steammocking:

Thanks :)

Hi

There's no DJI AVATA frame available in Liftoff, only their DJI FPV setup. We're also not aware of the Motion Controller working with other software other than DJI's own eco system. You can try whether the controller is picked up by your system as a game controller using this web tool ( https://gamepad-tester.com/ ). If it isn't picked up there, it won't work in Liftoff either.

A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thanks for your message :)
Do you plan to develope a frame even for DJI AVATA?

There are no plans currently. We'd love to have it eventually, but there are no ongoing talks with DJI atm.

Any updates? I would really like to practice flying the Avata with the FPV Remote Controller 2, which already works fine with Liftoff. The Motion Controller is not really needed, I think there are not many people actually flying the Avata with anything else than the FPV controller, so it's just the Avata physics model.

Still no plans, unfortunately.

Was just googling this too. Even if it wasn't a licenced 'Avata' model I'd be happy for it to be called 'cinewhoop blah' or whatever, with a similar flight model :)

I would second that... Just knowing what gains and whatnot would help as the dji sim is... Well... Not as good as liftoff shall we say. Anyone out there able to take a punt at weights, gains etc so we can simulate an avata without it being avata. Please?

It would be really useful to have a drone like Avata.
Please add Avata 2 frame

We've had the pleasure of collaborating with DJI in the past when we included the DJI FPV in Liftoff. It was a great experience and a valuable addition. Since then, the focus of both parties has shifted a bit in regards to the collaboration, and we don’t have any immediate plans to add the Avata drones. Ofcourse we'd always be open to explore future opportunities.

As this question continues to arise, we’d like to offer a final answer: we are not currently exploring the addition of the Avata or Avata 2 to Liftoff. If that ever changes, though it's unlikely, you'll be the first to know when there’s something new to share.
